Let's Play Memory!

Last night Jamie and Julie went down to the high school track (benefit of working for a public school...)to get in some exercise. While they were gone Mady and I got to play the game Memory - one of her favorites. Needless to say I got my butt handed to me...seriously. I'm 33 - she's 4 - I got hosed. I wasn't faking or letting her win, I lost fair and square. Humbling...very, very humbling.

Of course the part abbout me losing is funny, but not the true reason that I wrote about this here. Below are some of her comments that she made to me during the 3 games we played:

"Daddy, I have a bunch of them and you only have one match...That means I'm winning!"

"Dad, you know you have to use your head for this game, right? You have to think it in your head and use your head, okay?"

"Dad, you're not doing so good are you, I'm winning. I have more matches, see?"

"Daddy, why can't you play this game very well?"

My personal favorite, came after I lost 3 times in a row: "We can play something else if you want to, it's alright."

Anyway - she's a trash talker. She must've got that from her Mom. And I really stink at Memory. I never liked that game anyway.
